TritonPSI can assist you in achieving and maintaining compliance through the following services:
We understand that in obtaining a Compliance Certificate that time is of the essence.
TritonPSI’s approach is “anywhere anytime” which allows use to fit in with your availability and
minimise disruptions to your work and leisure commitments, whilst meeting deadline.
TritonPSI is an alternate to Council in that TritonPSI’s specialises in the compliance assessment of
your swimming pool barrier against the relevant pool fencing laws, fencing regulations and pool
standards. Unlike Council, TritonPSI cannot asses other building compliance matters or issue fines
for non-compliance; and our inspectors must be accredited with the Building Professionals Board in
order to issue a certificate of compliance or a certificate of non-compliance.
For pool owners that are Tourist Accommodation or are wishing to Sell or Lease.
Where a non-compliance issue is detected the pool owner must fix the issues, within 6 weeks of the
date of the inspection, to a Accredited Certifier’s (Certifier) satisfaction. If after this time the
remediation is not fixed or a Certifier has not approved the changes, the Certifier is required by
law (section 22E of the Swimming Pools Act 1992) to notify your local council. Immediate council
notification is required where the Certifier is of the opinion that the pool poses a risk to public
safety.
A TritonPSI inspector can assess your pool barrier (ie fence) and surrounds against AS 1926 to
provide you with a certificate of compliance or non-compliance, comprehensive non-compliance report
with recommendations to rectify areas of non-compliance.
Addressing a non-compliance issue within this 6 week period can be challenging due to availability of
labour, material and other factors let alone being able to rebook the Certifier.
Our pool compliance certifications are issued by an accredited Certifier.
For those that are looking to upgrade, redesign, or install a pool fence. The package includes:
